Horses, Horses, Horses!

The pea gravel was the most fun party of the party....or so the girls thought.
We had to keep an eye on Sarah, she kept trying to put them in her mouth!

Horses, horses, horses, horses. H.D. Sanders invited the girls to his 3rd birthday party and we decided we would go. H.D. has a few horse there and daddy thought it would be a good idea to see if the girls would ride or at least sit on the horses. Sarah wanted no part of it from the beginning and Molly was kind of skeptical. They played at H.D.'s grandma and grandpa house (which is where the party was) and had a great time. Their main focus was a great patch of pea gravel that they sat and played in for probably 20 min. Dad said when he gets time he is going to put pea gravel under the new swing set he built for them. I told him that was an obvious choice since they enjoyed it so much at Larry and Diane's.

Brave Molly....just wanted to hold he reigns.

Just a girl, her sippy cup and a horse.

We got ready to leave and Brian wondered if perhaps they might at least try ridding on the horse with H.D.'s daddy so he got on the horse and Brian put Molly (who never meets a stranger) on the horse with him and she was fine. He rode her around the yard and as long as she had her sippy cup that Mrs. Diane got for her she was fine! Sarah on the other hand was a different story. Daddy tried to put her on the horse twice. With a lot of screaming and crying I finally took her off. We tried to give her her sippy cup to see if that would make her happy, but no avail. Which is why we have no pictures of her on the horse. We had a good time and will try again either at Heath's house or maybe at Meme's and PeePaw's. I think if Meme gets on the horse with her she probably wouldn't be as scared. It sure was fun watching Molly!

Lots and lots of family!
Back row: Josh, Me, Mom holding Sarah, Pappa. Front Row: Joy, Granny holding Molly and Great Uncle Murry.

Sarah just loved to be up in Jake's face...either that or stealing his taggy blanket.

Great Granny & Pappa with Jake!

Good times with family....We had quite a bit of family come in over the weekend and we had a great time! Great Granny and Pappa and Great Great Uncle Murry and even Aunt Joy and cousin Jake. Uncle Josh got to come in to see us as well, but he lives closer so we can see him more often. We had a nice time visiting and eating. They have never met Great Great Uncle Murry so it was nice to get to meet him. They played hard ALL day long and were sleepy when it was finally time to go to bed. Next week Meme and Papa Carl are coming in for a visit. They have a busy week of visitors and we are all looking forward to it!

Sisters....woooweee. They are fun! So yesterday I caught them on the rocking horse....together as you can see. Molly was not having any of it, but Sarah was just as happy as can be. Molly doesn't like to share very much. See what happens when you turn your head on 15 month old sisters. It's like that line from Kindergarten Cop where she says turning your back on a classroom of 4 year olds is like turning your back on the ocean. Same thing with 15 month olds. They are quite a smart....but can they do some damage and in a hurry!

Freedom! The girls are on the loose. They are hard to keep up with these days. They want to wander free without holding your hand. We bought an extra long gate to separate the dining room from the sitting room hopefully allowing them more free to roam between their bedroom, the hall, the sitting room, and the living room. They are like cattle we have to herd around the house now. They just want to walk and explore (and touch) everything. They definitely aren't my little babies anymore! They are also talking like crazy! Sarah got the phone with her daddy while he was on his way home from work and just gibbered, jabbered, gibbered. She just kept going on and would take a quick breath and start again. She finally got bored and quit talking and Brian said, "we can definitely tell she is your daughter". She is quite the character all the while Molly was just listening taking it all in.....she is like her daddy. Although, don't let her fool you....she can carry on with the best of them.

We are going to the zoo!!! Yesterday, Saturday, June 3rd we took the girls for the first time. We went with Heath, Kristie and 3 year old H.D. Sanders. The girls really didn't enjoy it as much as well did, but I had a great time. The have a new exhibit, Northwest Passage, where they have Polar Bears, Sea Lions, Bald Eagles, and black bears. It was so nice! I think that was probably my favorite part of the zoo. Brian and Heath enjoyed the sea lions. They put on an awesome show where they showed off the sea lions and all their tricks. It was a lot of fun. Brian company picnic this year is going to be at the zoo. I think the girls will enjoy it a little more by then.
