Filling Big Shoes....Daddy's Shoes
Brian came home from work the other day and the girls naturally flocked right to him, barely letting him take his boots off. They are big, heavy and always dirty, but they loved them. Brian got the bright idea to put Molly's tiny feet inside as the girls are facinated w/ shoes right now. If they find a pair they take them to the rightful owner and try to "help them" put them on. I am amazed that they can distiguish between mine and Brian's. I guess I don't give them enough credit. Molly loved being in them, but not as much as Sarah. Sarah wanted her daddy to tie them and take her for a walk. Even as tight as he could get them her tiny legs slipped right out. Then she decided she was going to carry them around. This is just a guess, but I am guessing they weigh around 3-4 lbs a piece. She was lugging them around like they were nothing. She really tickles me!!
Molly liked daddy's boots.

Sarah just wanted to walk....and kept walking right out of them.

Then Sarah walked off with them.

Ready to go to work!!!

I make this look good!!!

Me, get in trouble? Just look at my angelic face!

Brian had a trip out of town and as he was unpacking the girls got into the closet and found his hard hat that he takes when he tours other mills. Of course nosey and nosier had to check it out and of course put it on! Thankfully, the camera was handy and dad took the WONDERFUL pictures!

Brrrrrrrrrrr.......it's cold outside!!

Molly & Sarah in their new WARM winter coats!

It sure has gotten cold in a hurry down here. Of course with it being almost Thanksgiving it is just about time. Thankfully, Grandma got them some warm winter coats because mom didn't buy warm enough stuff. Molly liked her instantly, but Sarah had to warm up to hers. I don't think she was crazy about the fact that it zipped up to her chin. She was having a hard time walking because her peripheral vision was impared by the fuzz around the hood. It was too funny watching her run into things (in a sad kind of way, of course).

Unfortunately, I think they picked up something over the weekend because this morning they both woke up acting kind of funny. When Grandpa and I picked them up from Sunday school class they were both burning up and Molly was barely moving. Poor babies! Brian is in South Carolina (I think), it may be South Dakota, anyway send some happy thoughts my way and the girls way. They went to bed VERY early tonight so hopefully they will wake up their normal chipper selves.

Molly was digging her coat....Sarah....not so much. She just needed to get used to it and she was fine.

Daddy's Girls

We love our daddy!! We love him so much Grandma bought us some bib overalls so we could look just like him! Of course we wear pink rather than boy colors, but we sure loved wearing them.

I just woke up from my nap and I have bed head....bad!

I don't want you to take my picture! I just want to eat my grapes in peace!

Happy Birthday, Pappa!!

My Pappa turned 80 on Wednesday, the 9th and we had a BIG birthday party with a bunch of his friends and our family. Quite a few family members that have never met the girls before. They didn't have quite as much fun as we did, but they had a good time. We missed nap time, but made up for it with candy corn, caffinated tea, and a swig of Grandpa's coffee. They just ran around the room (that was huge) just visiting with everyone. Most of the people they didn't know, but that didn't stop them. Cousin Jake, Aunt Joy, and even Uncle Josh were there. We had a good time, but it was a long drive down and back in one day. Above we wanted to take a picture with all of our girl cousins (Pappa, Charee, Aunt Joy, Molly, Mom, Sarah, Cousin Pharees, and Cousin Laynee Claire.

Babies!!!!

The girls feeding their babies

Last Friday afternoon I went to get the girls up from their nap and they both were giving their teddy bears a drink from their water sippy cups. We usually give them water sippy cups at bed time and nap time in case they get thursty, hot, or just want a drink. It was too cute! They were just sitting in their beds giving their bears a drink like it was a bottle and a baby. When their Meme gave them a baby shower last year she bought them some babies to decorate the tables with and they came with baby bottles. So I got the girls out of their beds and gave them the babies and the bottles and they went right to feeding them their bottles. Looks like we have some little mommies on our hands! It was too sweet. Now they will bring their babies and their blankets to either Brian or I to wrap up in a baby burrito and then they feed them. Too Sweet!!!

Sarah's First Hair Cut

Waiting while Daddy got his haircut

Well, the time had come for Sarah's first haircut. She was developing a mullett in the back and it was looking rather scraggly. Ms. Debbie got it all evened up and it looks so much better. She was a good girl. She watched Brian get his hair washed and then cut. When it came time she didn't want to sit in the chair by herself so Brian held her. She was a good girl (distracted by fruit chews). One down, one to go. However, it may be a while before Molly is ready for her first hair cut.

Daddy getting his hair washed by Ms. Debbie. Sarah waiting her turn.

Snip, snip, the first curls cut off.

Wait! How much did she cut off???

Happy Halloween!!!!

Ms. Ashleigh takes the best pictures!

Go Hogs! This was our second Halloween and the girls enjoyed it even more than last year. We went to Southwest Fall Festival and the girls, Molly especially enjoyed walking around. She got upset when Brian would stop walking with her. There were too many people for Sarah and she got scared, so she spent quite a bit of time being held by either Grandpa, Grandma, or me.

We saw many friends, but our favorite was Ms. Kathy who gave us popcorn. I think it was the highlight of the evening for the girls......until they found the crayons and the coloring sheets. On our way home we stopped and saw our friends Mike and Cindy and had a ball playing with Lucy (who is a dachshund). Molly enjoyed playing with her long tail and Sarah just wanted to pet her. We got in bed VERY late, but it was all worth it!

Sarah LOVED her popcorn!

Dad definitely had his hands full!

Wow....I haven't posted in a LONG time.

We have been so busy with company and cousins and shut down. Things have been busy! Joy, Colby and Jake left us and the girls are lonely.

I forgot to mention our zoo trip. Brian's company picnic was at the zoo this year and the zoo was pretty fun, but it was hot and the girls got warm and cranky! So we left early and headed to the hotel and that is where the fun began. The girls had a ball! They jumped up and down on the bed, played in the closet, and ran around chasing each other until they were just about to drop they were so tired!

Molly loved it....Sarah.....hated it!

The girls playing on the bed at the hotel.

Brian had shut down last month and the girls and I took a much needed trip to KY to visit Brian's family. Brian is so busy on the weekends that we don't make time to travel. We had a WONDERFUL time and it was so nice to get to see everyone. We drove up on a Sunday and then Monday went to Kuttawa to visit Brian's Nanny and his Aunt Teresa. Then Monday night everyone was so sweet and had a dinner for us.....well not really for us, but everyone came out to visit us. Brian's Aunt Beth and her family, Jamie and the kids, Brock and Kimberly, Grandma Joann and of course Meme and Peepaw were there. It was a nice trip, we came home on Thursday just in time to meet Brian at home. He sure was pleased to see his girls!

The girls sure love playing outside. The weather has been perfect!

A Busy Week!

We have had a busy week at our house. The girls have had a visit from their Aunt Joy, Uncle Colby and cousin Jake. Cousin Jake has been staying with us and will be here for a while so quite a few of our pictures will be of him with us.

Just call us sock hands! Grandma got us some black and red socks on sale and we found them in our closet the other day and we have enjoyed putting them on our hands and feet and having a good ole time. I could barely get them to sit still long enough to take a picture. It was cute!
We are such good helpers with cousin Jake. When he doesn't know how to play with a toy we are right there to help......and I mean right there.
This is Jake getting A LOT of instruction from us.
We are so sweet to let Jake play in our room. Usually it is no boys allowed, but we made an exception for Jake.

Good Helpers

The other day Brian put a filter underneath the sink in the kitchen and the girls were "helping". Sarah really was holding the flash light for him and Molly was just snooping around. Too cute!

Girls Playing Hard

We have found some new toys that we like. Our new favorite toys are the Weebles, but we haven't been "caught on camera" yet with them.

Sarah and her purse. She puts toys in it and carries it around.

Nothing comes between a girl and her cell phone. She carries it around and opens it up and talks on it. Very cute!

Some old toys revisited. With cousin Jake coming we have gotten ready some old toys and the girls found them interesting....for a fleeting moment.

While this is not a new "toy" they girls have discovered Sesame Street and like to watch it in their "big girl chair" . They use their big girl stool to climb in and out of it.

A Jean Jacket and The Incredible Hulk

(you wouldn't like me when I am angry) A quote from the Hulk for those of you who do not remember it. Sarah loved the jacket and Molly loved getting out more clothes to be worn on top of the jacket and outfit she was already wearing. By the time I got this picture I think there were 4 layers. That is why she looks so bulky!

I just want to be taller! Sarah would not take off the jacket for anything. Molly tried it on that day and hated it! She cried until I took it off.

Then 2 days later Molly finally got with the program and loved it. Of course because she didn't want me to I didn't snap it so she figured out how to take it off. Silly girl. They are both such hams for the camera.

Now this one is one of my favorites. The girls were playing with the left over nets I had from VBS and Brian and I put them on their heads and they looked like Little House on the Prairie girls. Too cute. It is funny to me how they will let you put ANYTHING on their heads!!!
