Cousin Jake is 1!!!!!

Jake and his special Birthday Hat

Well actually he won't be one until Tuesday of next week, but his 1 year old party was this weekend and it was great fun! We all enjoyed it, especially the girls who love Jack (because they refuse to try and say Jake). Jake came and visited us last week and the girls had such a good time. I am thankful that Jake (and his family) live close enough that the girls get the opportunity to spend time with him like that. He is a hoot and such a boy! He makes me sad and thankful that I only have girls, all at the same time. Jake has an awesome temperment and is so much fun to be around. We were happy to get to spend some time with all the imporant people on his dad's side of the family, especially since we haven't gotten to meet some of them. It was just a great day!! Happy birthday, Jake, we love you!!!

Jake's special caterpillar cake! It was awesome!

The girls like eating at Jake's new table and chairs that he got from Grandma and Grandpa and Granny and Pappa.

Sarah enjoyed some of Aunt Joy's yummy fruit dip!

Molly on the other hand just wanted chicken fingers.....everyone's chicken fingers! Birthday cake before.......

Birthday cake after.......

Jake's Grandma B.B. playing with us with bubbles. Grandma bought us these adorable dresses and mom made bows especially for us and we wouldn't even wear them (except on the back of our dresses).

Daddy's Girls

Brian usually comes home from work and sits in the floor in the dining room or the sitting room to play with the girls (depending upon whether or not I am actually making dinner). The other night he came in and layed down in the floor and Sarah came and layed in the crook of his arm and then Molly was very quick to follow. Sweet girls! Just as my dad has always been special to me, it appears as if Brian will be the same for the girls. There is just something special about daddy's girls.

Mommas Little Monkeys!!!

We have become obsessed with monkeys in the last month. It all started with the monkey towels we bought for bath time and it has just snow balled from there. We went to the mall 2 weeks ago and daddy bought us these FABULOUS screeching monkeys that we LOVE. Then for Valentine's Day daddy bought us some Build-A-Bear monkeys with clothes and everything. We love them too. Sarah walks around the house saying....monk, monk, monk, monk. The other night she woke up in the middle of the night so I went in to replace pacifiers and she looked up and said, "No, Momma, Monk".

We have been hearing NO A LOT here lately. Another night I went in to replace Sarah's pacifier, again in the middle of the night. Her favorites are pink, and she always chooses the pink ones. So, I handed her a blue one because I couldn't find her favorite pink one. She handed it back to me and said, "No, Momma, pink". And who says Baby Einstein doesn't serve a useful purpose.

Enjoy the "Monk" pictures.

Sarah and her Monk bath towel....wearing it as a hat.

Molly, always the cheeser

Bedtime with the monkey.

Sarah wasn't too happy to go to bed, but was happier once she was handed her Monk and her 2 favorite pacifiers.

Pant Heads!

Grandma bought the girls some really sweet BRIGHT yellow shorts for this summer. Grandma came over for a visit and she let the girls play with them. Who knew they would want them on their heads. For some reason EVERYTHING is a hat. They were also digging some scarves, but not wearing them appropriately. They make everything a little funnier.

My Cheeser....showing off ALL of her teeth and posing for the camera.

Sarah is like trying to hit a moving target. Every now and then she wants her picture made, but mostly it is run and shoot, run and shoot.

Little copy cats!

Get along, little doggie!

We have some cowgirls on our hands at the Stahl Ranch. Our friends Heath, Kristie, and H.D. came over for dinner the other night and Heath was wearing his cowboy hat. The girls were completely taken with it. We thought we would share some picture of our future cowgirls!

Is this the way you wear it?

Who turned out the lights?

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

What a beautiful snow we got yesterday! We went to town yesterday for Mother's Day Out and as we were coming home it started to snow. The girls laid down for their nap as soon as we got home and when they woke up there was snow EVERYWHERE! I fixed their snack and the sat in the window watching the snow fall. Sarah's first words were, "WHOA". Brian came home and we got bundled up to go outside for a quick photo op. for mom. Unfortuantely, we don't have good warm snow clothes so we put on a couple extra layers and ventured out. The girls seemed to enjoy themselves, but I think Brian and I were having the most fun watching them walk around.

Our house covered in snow.

I think that is mom's car under there?

Sarah wasn't quite sure what to think with the snow falling on her face.

My little snow angel. (I love her sock mittens, her daddy couldn't get her to be still long enough to put her mittens on so he decided to use socks instead...he's a smart man)

Take me inside, Daddy, I'm cold!
